Papers

Via ¡Ya Basta! on Facebook:

¡Ya Basta! is the first publication of a paper that Emily Jones wrote in the 1990’s to describe the 1938 Pecan shellers’ strike, the story of how thousands of low-paid, mostly women workers in San Antonio, largely marginalized because of their economic class, gender, and ethnicity, changed history when they said “Enough!”. There is growing interest in this pivotal event. ¡Ya Basta! will be a valuable resource for anyone who wants to know more.

Maps

“The site is a shared space between organizations, artists, and all who hold close ideas of liberation, equality, and a just society.  It is an experiment in collective memory, community, and expression.”

The map below is from a sister site, Austin Beloved Community, and is an example of the map we would like to create for San Antonio and Nacogdoches.
